University of California, San Diego's Shashi Collection
Company Histories Collection in the International and Pacific Studies(IR/PS)Library
UCSD's Shashi collection started during 1989 and accelerated its collection activities in the early 1990s to support classroom instruction and faculty research at the graduate school of the IR/PS. UCSD's Shashi collection comprised over 1,300 titles and covers the entire category of industry groups. Special efforts are made to collect Shashi in banking, security and insurance industries. Other characteristics of the collection are that about 30 percent of holdings are comprised of other than company histories such as histories of labor unions and industry associations.
Using UCSD's Shashi Collection
Shashi titles in UCSD's library collection are cataloged in the library catalog, Roger [1] where they can be searched by title, subject, keyword, etc. Most are available for circulation and/or use on the premises according to the Libraries' policies. They can also be searched in the OCLC's Worldcat and are available through the ILL services.
