This category reflects holdings of shashi available in University of Pittsburgh collections.
Pitt owns about 3,000 volumes of shashi, which were published by about 1,400 companies. More than 2,000 volumes were donated by the Institute for Financial and Economic Research (金融経済研究所= 金研: Kinken) of the former Mitsui Bank as a part of the donation of their entire library holdings. The collection focuses on financial institutions include 257 volumes published before the end of the World War II. The collection also focuses on steel industries because Pittsburgh was once-flourishing as the steel city.
