History
- 1910年、大阪・奈良間に電気鉄道を敷設するため、奈良軌道（株）が設立。翌月社名を大阪電気軌道（株）－大軌に改称。
- 1921年、天理軽便鉄道（株）を買収。
- 1922年、生駒鋼索鉄道（株）を合併。
- 1929年、伊賀電気鉄道（株）を合併。
- 1943年、大阪鉄道（株）を合併。
- 1944年、信貴山急行電鉄（株）、南和電気鉄道（株）、（株）大鉄百貨店を合併。同年、近畿日本鉄道（株）が設立。関西急行鉄道と南海鉄道（株）の両社が合併。南海は1947年に分離。
